About the Role
Each day is a new and exciting adventure at Pine Lakes Animal Hospital located in Palm Coast, FL. Our brand new state of the art facility is within 10 miles of the Atlantic coast and offers a multitude of services including caring for exotics! As we grow, we are searching for a Full-Time Hospital Manager that will fit into our fun, family friendly atmosphere.
Pine Lakes Animal Hospital is a full-service small animal hospital, serving the health care needs of just about all manner of household pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and small rodents, ferrets, and birds using the latest technology. Unique to services offered in the community, we are proud be one of the only hospitals to offer laser therapy! We are also affiliated with many local rescues and Humane Societies, such as Cavalier Rescue, Gracie's Place and Farm Rescue, Halifax Humane Society, and more. We are also bringing back mobile services that was suspended during the pandemic.
As the Veterinary Hospital Manager, you play an integral role in leading the hospital team and providing excellent care to our pet patients and clients. Our team members hold the highest regard for maintaining a healthy, safe, and cohesive work environment. You will lead by example to ensure its success and manage all aspects of operations and people management within our fast-paced, multi-doctor veterinary hospital. The primary duties center around business/P&L management, HR functions, and instituting/maintaining compliance with policies and procedures that ensure safe and efficient practices within the hospital environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in a management/leadership role within the Veterinary field required
- Previous Veterinary Technician experience preferred
- Have empathy and respect towards pets, clients and colleagues
- Able to review, understand and react to findings in financial reports, budgets, and Profit & Loss statements
- Have excellent interpersonal, listening, and written and verbal communication skills
- Exercise strong time management skills, being able to plan, organize and prioritize tasks
- Possess a good attitude and contribute to building and fostering a positive work environment
- Have strong attention to detail and an eye for accuracy
- Maintain a constructive and harmonious relationship with co-workers, client and vendors
